Day 1 - Hodges Creek Marina
Hodges Creek has a full service marina with fuel, water, ice, laundry and shower facilities. For provisioning, The Ample Hamper located at the top of our docks takes care of your every need. There are a number of restaurants at the marina, Calamaya is a new waterfront restaurant offering Caribbean and Mediterranean cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner and Pelicans Café, just a short dinghy ride or walk away, is ideal for a snack or cocktail to set the tone for your sailing holiday.
Day 2 - Norman Island
Known as "Treasure Island", Norman Island is steeped in history and legends of pirates and buried treasure - something to think about as you snorkel the caves just outside The Bight.
Day 3 - Wreck of the Rhone
The Royal Mail Steam ship Rhone was commissioned for the Royal Mail Packet Company in 1865 to carry mail and passengers from England to the Caribbean. Its design was unique, for it had both sail and steam power with one of the first steam-driven cast propellors. On the morning of October 29th, 1867, it sunk in a storm after hitting Black Rock Point.
Today the Rhone is considered to be one of the world's best wreck dives.
Day 4 - The Baths and Spanish Town
Virgin Gorda's signature attraction is The Baths. This boulder-lined beach is sometimes referred to as "God's Marbles." Visually striking granite boulders line the water and form semi-protected pools. The beach itself is quite attractive and snorkeling is good here. This unique, picturesque beach is probably the only place on the island where one can ever find a crowd. This happens when cruise ship passengers are shuttled to the beach. This really isn't a problem, though. Very similar beaches, Spring Bay and The Crawl, are found just north of The Baths.
Spanish Town is Virgin Gorda's main "city." Don't blink or you could miss the few shops located here. It is more of a tiny, residential area than a town. Leverick Bay is worth a stop as you tour the island. The colorful buildings here are home to a small resort, a few shops, and Pusser's Beach Bar. They are situated near a small beach and marina.
Day 5 - Biras Creek
Biras Creek is located on a strip of land between two hills on a 140 acre peninsula. It can only be reached by boat. The area is a paradise for swimming, boating and snorkeling, backed by some beautiful white sand beaches.
Days 6 & 7 - Anegada
Anegada - The Drowned Island, is an absolute must when sailing in this area. It is not just the navigational complexity which makes this a memorable stop. Anegada is a wildlife sanctuary and refuge for colonies of flamingos, herons and ospreys. It is also home to the endangered rock iguana which can grow to five feet long.
Day 8 - Marina Cay
Marina Cay is a tiny island off Tortola, protected by a reef which offers you some fantastic snorkelling. There is a Pussers restaurant should you choose to relax with a drink and dine ashore.
Days 9,10 & 11
Free sailing.
Day 12 - Jost Van Dyke
Named after a Dutch pirate, this unspoilt, secluded island provides a number of perfect anchorages for visiting yacht people. Great Harbour has local shops, restaurants and bars including the famous Foxy's Tamarind Bar and Grill. White Bay has a beautiful white sandy beach ideal for a lunch stop.
Day 13 - Cane Garden Bay
One of the more beautiful anchorages on Tortola, with its white
sandy beach and palm trees stretching the length of the bay. There
are bars and restaurants as well as a small supermarket and bakery.
