The MotorSailer GALILEO

The 51 meter Galileo is a classic steel hull motor sailor, with spacious and well appointed interiors renovated in 2007.

Life on Board

At the main deck, a lounge area with an American bar leads into a warm and elegant dining room finished with wood and leather. Guests on Galileo enjoy the most, a shaded outdoor deck area with an outdoor bar and the ship's sun deck equipped with sun beds, deckchairs and a Jacuzzi.

The Cabins

The M/S Galileo's 26 outside guest cabins are located on the Lower and the Upper Deck all with large windows or portholes. Elegantly decorated, they have either twin or queen sized beds and bathrooms with showers en suite. All cabins are fully air-conditioned and offer storage space, radio music controls and telephones.

Day 1- FRIDAY

MARINA ZEA- POROS

Embarkation between 2-3 pm. Enjoy a welcome drink and meet your crew and fellow passengers. Sail for Poros for a short 3 hours visit, before set sail to Kimolos. Overnight at sea.

Day 2- SATURDAY

POLIEGOS - FOLEGANDROS

Morning arrival in Poliegos or Kimolos, two very small islands known for their amazing beaches. Morning swim stop followed by a BBQ on deck. Afternoon sailing to Folegandros, one of the most amazing and less known islands in the Aegean Sea. Walk the amazing Upper city and dine at one of the traditional Greek tavernas.

Day 3 -SUNDAY

SANTORINI

Morning arrival at Santorini (occasionally at anchor) to explore its unique capital Fira. Optional Excursion to a typical Winery and a tour of the villages including the small beautiful village of Oia know for it’s breathtaking view over the caldera. Overnight in Santorini..

Day 4- MONDAY

ANTIPAROS - PAROS

In the morning you will enjoy a swim stop in an enchanting bay of Antiparos. Early noon arrival in Paros. Visit Parikia and the quaint village of Naoussa. Time to have a fun night and show us your dancing skills during our famous Greek Night. Overnight in Paros.

Day 5- TUESDAY

DELOS (anchorage) MYKONOS

Optional morning tour to the unique archaeological site of Delos, antiquity's most sacred island. Later on we stop at one of Mykonos beautiful bays for swimming off the ship before sailing into Tourlos port in Mykonos. The island of the jet setters is yours to explore and the night is young. Overnight in Mykonos.

Day 6 -WEDNESDAY

SYROS

After a morning swim we will arrive in Syros, the capital of the Cycladic islands where you can enjoy one of its beautiful sandy beaches or walk through town and enjoy the unique architecture of the buildings. Overnight in Syros.

Day 7- THURSDAY

Kythnos - Marina Zea, Athens

In the morning we will arrive in Kythnos where you will enjoy a swim in Kolones bay and will then set sail for Marina Zea where we will arrive in the late afternoon via Cape Sounion, the temple of Poseidon. Overnight in Marina.

Day 8- FRIDAY

MARINA ZEA - DISEMBARKATION

Disembarkation after breakfast.

  • Swim Stops & Beach Barbeques are weather permitting.
  • Itinerary is subject to weather conditions and sailing is not permitted in force 7 Beaufort winds.
  • The operator reserves the right to substitute the vessel.

SERVICES AND CONDITIONS

1/ Cruise fare includes are Per Person and Week and include:

  • Accommodation in double or twin cabins with private SH/WC & air conditioning.
  • Half - board: American buffet breakfast and one main meal daily, including a Welcome Cocktail, a Greek Night , fun BBQ (weather permitting) and Captain's Dinner.
  • Regular (filter) coffee, tea and still mineral water free all day.
  • Use of fishing and snorkelling equipment (subject to availability).
  • Multilingual Cruise Escort

Not included:

  • Beverages (except those mentioned above)
  • Shore excursions on the islands or other land arrangements
  • Crew tips
  • Passenger personal expenses

2/ Conditions and restrictions

PROOFREADING Tour Operators featuring our Cruises in their Catalogue or Internet site by itinerary, vessel’s description and images, will send VARIETY CRUISES a draft for error-checking of the contents prior publication as well as two brochure copies when printed. In order to secure corect information given to our clients and keep our high customer satisfaction levels. poseidon charters will not bare any responsibility for innacurate information or misrepresentation of our vessels or cruise itineraries without having accepted a draft prior to the brochure going to print or internet page published.

PAYMENT 25% deposit is required upon confirmation. Balance of payment is due no less than 60 days prior to day of embarkation.

CHILD REDUCTION Children between the ages of 7-10 sharing a cabin with two paying adults receive a 50% discount. Children between the ages of 10-16 sharing a cabin with two paying adults receive a 35% discount. Port taxes are not discounted.

CANCELLATIONS 25% of the cruise for any written cancellation received between 60 to 31 days prior to sailing; 50% up to 16 days prior to sailing; full cruise fare for written cancellations received less than the 16th day prior to sailing or for "no shows" even if cancellation is due to unforeseen circumstances beyond passenger's control. Cancellations must be confirmed by poseidon charters in writing in all cases.

AMENDMENTS There may be a charge for amendments of cruise date or decreasing guest numbers received less than 60 days prior to sailing. Amendments must be confirmed by poseidon charters in writing.

NOT INCLUDED IN CRUISE FARE Such personal expenses as drinks (other than included in the rate), laundry and gratuities, (gratuities are optional but as a rule, satisfied clients areexpected to give to the captain, at the end of the cruise approximately 7% of the cruise fare for distribution among crew members) medical expenses, port taxes, shore excursions (shore excursions are proposed and arranged on board by the tour leaders) expenditures incurred ashore, and anything not mentioned in cruise program.
