ONE WEEK AND 10-NIGHT 'FLOTILLA' ITINERARY OPTIONS

There are several options on a 7-night and 10–night cruise within the ‘Aegean Adventure Sailing Cruises Program’.

7-night Athens-Athens: One-week flotilla charters must follow a round trip Athens-Athens circuit visiting Aegina, Poros, Spathi, and Hydra/Dokos, historic Spetses, Ermioni, Epidaurous (home of the largest ancient amphitheatre in Greece) and Aghistri for a swim stop on the way back to Athens. Flotilla boats sail with the 2-week flotilla group until Morning 5 when they double back towards Athens. If there is no one-week flotilla ‘lead boat’ scheduled, the flotilla boats are briefed as to what to do on Nights 5 (Spetses & Ermioni) and 6 (Epidaurous) for their return to Athens for Night 7. Essentially there are 2 open sailing days.

7-Night Saronic & Cycladic Flotilla: Based on the weather, one-week flotilla guests may do the Athens to Athens round trip allowing both Saronic Gulf and some peripheral Cycladic islands. The itinerary would be the following: Aegina, Poros, Hydra, Kithnos, Kea, Cape Sounion and then back to Athens. Flotilla boats sail with the 2-week flotilla group until Morning 5 when they head east out to Kithnos. If there is no one-week flotilla ‘lead boat’ scheduled, the flotilla boats are briefed as to what to do on Nights 5 (Kithnos) and 6 (Kea) for their return to Athens for Night 7. Essentially there are 2 open sailing days.

7-night Athens-Paros / Paros-Athens: By special arrangement and subject to yacht availability one-week flotilla guests can join the two week circuit starting on Day 1 in Athens and finishing on Morning 8 at Paros (see Day 7 on our detailed itinerary). Alternatively, one week flotilla guests can board a yacht at Paros on Day 8 and sail south on their own to meet the flotilla at Ios on Day 9, sailing the balance of the trip with the flotilla and ending in Athens on Morning 15. Note: Flotilla boats are rarely available to do one-way trips from Athens. If groups want a one week flotilla departure, the best options are the round trip Athens itinerary listed above.

10-night Athens-Athens: By special arrangement and subject to yacht availability 10-night flotilla guests can do an Athens-Athens flotilla sailing with the 2 week circuit for the first 7 days then deviating back to Athens by way of Serifos, Kithnos, Kea and Cape Sounion.

The Peloponnese coast offers sweeping forested mountain ranges, quaint coastal villages and towns with traditional Greek life. The peripheral Cycladic islands of Kea and Kythnos, offer striking beauty and a sense of timelessness, while Mykonos offers tremendous shopping, dining and night life. The seven and ten-night ‘Aegean Adventure Sailing Cruises’ cover between 150 and 250 miles respectfully round trip. These are the proposed itineraries which include some gorgeous beaches, quaint harbor towns, excellent restaurants and many of the most important archaeological sites of the Saronic & Argolic Gulfs and central Aegean Sea. However, the actual itinerary can be changed to include, exclude or prolong stays as a result of bad weather.

Note: On 7 & 10 night Aegean departures, there may not be a Program Director only a Skipper.
