In the mid-1990's, Jeanneau became the first French boat builder to receive ISO 9000 certification, a standard that documents each step of the production process and assures purchasers that each boat meets a specific production standard. Jeanneaus are built using traditional methods of solid hand-laid hulls. Vinylester resin is used in the outer plies of the laminate to prevent osmosis. A grid of longitudinal and crosswise hardwood stringers encapsulated in fiberglass is glassed directly to the hull to provide stiffness. Jeanneau is the only production manufacturer in the world that still utilizes Burmese teak for the deck, the interior furnishings and the bulkheads.
