Fiji Adventure Cruise

Poseidon Charters worldwide sailing adventures are offered in Polynesia on a luxurious crewed private yacht through the wondrous Fiji islands. Each day is a new island with a new adventure. Snorkel or dive from the boat to see living reefs with clouds of colorful fish or take a trek inland to streams and waterfalls of pure spring water. Or simply sit back, relax and soak it all in as you are finally here in Polynesian paradise!

Immerse yourself in traditional South Pacific culture by watching fire walking and war dance ceremonies. Follow this with a 'lovo' - a feast of roast pork, tropical fish and wonderful native vegetables baked in coconut and banana leaves, and cooked in an underground oven.

Fiji boasts some of the world's best scuba sites, miles of endless sandy beaches and the friendliest people on earth. Sail Fiji... it is simply Fantastic!

Poseidon Yacht Charters offers a 53 foot classic Ted Hood designed yawl, for charter in Fiji. With accommodation for up to 6 overnight guests, we can take you on a barefoot cruise to dive sites, quiet coves, remote islands and historic towns. Our Fijian captain, Manoa, knows Fiji’s waters and can steer you to all the best places. Do as much or as little as you like. Relax on deck, take a turn at the wheel, trim sails, do a little fishing—it’s all up to you. We are "island style" cruising at its best – no worries, just fun.

Meet our Captain:

Our Crew

For most charters, we provide you with a cook/crew, who is also one of the owners of the boat. Having sailed the region for seven years from the East Coast of the US with her husband and young family, Rogers knows her way around the galley, cockpit and deck. She has lived the dream, let her share the cruising lifestyle with you, if only for a short time.

The boat

Relaxing !Our yacht was designed by Ted Hood and built for him in 1969 in Holland. With the classic lines of a yacht of that era, our yacht’s interior includes a king sized bunk in the airy bow cabin adjacent to a spacious head w/shower.

Moving aft there are two bunks forward of the main salon and a private cabin with two bunks aft of the salon. The aft "owner’s" cabin has two bunks and a private head w/shower.

The main salon has a large table and seating area across from the navigation station. The yacht’s galley is fully equipped to provide fresh and delicious meals on board.

We have a CD/stereo, reading library and a cupboard full of games.

The cruising area

Savu savuAt Savusavu, our base is just a pleasant, full day’s sail away from beautiful offshore islands and quiet coves. We focus most of our itineraries in the waters off Vanua Levu, a less traveled part of Fiji where the tourists are few and the locals are welcoming. Some of the world’s best diving is in the North around Taveuni, Savusavu, Namena Reef and Koro Island. We can take you to dive professionals who will show you the beauty of Fiji’s underwater world. Your hotel travels with you so that you can visit a variety of sites. In addition to diving, in the friendly North you will find spectacular snorkeling, lush rainforests and waterfalls. You can meet people in local villages, go reef fishing followed by a Fijian beach barbeque and try to catch your own lobsters for dinner. We can take you to visit a clam hatchery, turtle farm and to tour historic Levuka, Fiji’s first capital. There is so much to do and it is all nearby. We offer a variety of trips including one-way from Savusavu ending in Suva for touring the handicrafts markets & Fiji Museum. Or you could end your trip in Taveuni, having spent a week at Fiji’s famous dive sites.

Alternatively, for a small fee, we will meet you in the Nadi area and sail the islands on the Western side of Viti Levu which would include the Mamanucas (home to Musket Cove) and the Yasawas (famous for the Blue Lagoon). These popular islands offer sandy beaches, diving and snorkeling. Captain Manoa used to manage the water sports activities at a resort in this area and is familiar with the best cruising spots.

Our minimum charter is three days, there is no maximum. We recommend at least a 7 day/6 night charter that will give you a minimum of 3 days of activities and 4 days of sailing. Longer trips would allow you to visit more than one area of Fiji and enjoy all the various activities including swimming, snorkeling, sailing, diving, remote villages, waterfalls, historic towns, etc. to the fullest. In the morning we’re off to Taveuni and diving the Rainbow Reef, Great White Wall and numerous other sites. We will book your dive excursion through a well established dive operator.

We can drop you 5 minutes from the Matei Airport or return to Savusavu at the end of your stay with us. But before you leave, stop at the 180th meridian and have your picture taken at the international dateline…

Savusavu to Ovalau
