Depending on your selected Tahiti sailing vacation itinerary, visit some of these tropical highlights.
Tahiti
Mo'orea
Huahine
Raiatea

Tahiti
Tahiti is the international arrival point and is the largest island in French Polynesia. The interior of the island is pretty much uninhabited, it is mountainous with flowing streams and cascading waterfalls. The majority of Tahitians live in the capital Papeete where there are tourist attractions, shopping, fine dining and high-end resorts and spas.
One of the largest islands in the Society archipelago, Mo'orea is famous for its crystal clear waterfalls that tumble down from jagged volcanic peaks. Pastel coloured villages are nestled into a rain forest highlighted with pink and red frangipani and hibiscus. The surrounding lagoon thrives with vibrant corals and an abundance of tropical fish.
Huahine is the wildest and most secretive island of the Society Islands it is composed by two islands: Huahine Nui (big Huahine) in the North and Huahine Iti (small Huahine) in the South separated by a narrow channel. Both offer a luxuriant vegetation, white sandy beaches, small coves hidden from the eyes, coral desert islets, a lagoon with turquoise colours and much diversified food and fruit-producing cultivation. A real haven of peace for recharging the batteries!
Raiatea is the second largest island. Located 193 km north-west from Tahiti, Raiatea has an authentic charm thanks to its historical prosperity, legends and sacral mountain Mount Temehani, that stands at 772 metres high. To the south of Raiatea, there are beautiful waterfalls and the Faaroa river, that offers the possibility of kayaking to enjoy the unspoiled nature of this mystic island.
This unique island shares a huge lagoon with Raiatea, is famous for vanilla plantations and the cultivation of exquisite pearls. Visit a pearl farm and examine some of Tahiti's finest export before jumping in the sea at the 'coral river'. Glide over hundreds of colourful coral species while being pursued by a school of brilliant yellow butterfly fish.
The legends and romance associated with Bora Bora bring an almost mystical presence to the island. Part of the allure, are the towering black peaks that dominate the centre of this volcanic archipelago. The emerald waters of the lagoon and the surrounding barrier reef offer a kaleidoscope of colourful fish and living corals. For a fun night on shore, then Bloody Mary's restaurant is a must!
