Difference between skippered and luxury crewed charter

You know you want your sailing vacation to be relaxing with crew but how do you know if a skippered charter is enough, or if a luxury fully crewed yacht is the experience you dream of?

There are many new yachts on the market and therefore the line between the boats can be quite blurred at times, but the experience is what really sets apart the two sailing options.

Crew are typically a Captain, Hostess and Chef
Crew live aboard in crew sleeping quarters
Chef trained at culinary school
Hostess usually trained in 5* silver service
Daily cabin make-up/turn down
All areas of boat cleaned daily
Expenses pre-paid for an all-inclusive experience
Charter personalized for maximum service experience
Yachts maintained to a higher standard
Choose from a power vessel, sailing yacht or motor sailor
Large selection of water toys included in price*
Jet ski/Wakeboard/Towing tubes/Knee boards/Skis/SUP/Kayak
Crew can be discreet or engaging dependent on guests
Yachts up to 300ft
High-end luxury vacation

*Each yacht has different toys included.

Skipper is the only crew*
Skipper role is to sail the boat only
Hired by request for a specific charter
Skipper salary paid as an extra to yacht
All crew meals charged extra
Provisions purchased upon arrival by guests
Guests prepare own meals
Guests responsible for meal dishes and cleaning*
Guests expected to help with elements of sailing/docking
Water toys charged extra and typically SUP or Kayak only.
More engagement with skipper

*It's possible to hire a hostess to prepare light breakfast and lunch. The hostess is not a chef. The hostess can also help with provisioning and meal dishes.

You can choose to sail either a fully crewed yacht or skippered yacht in any of our destinations.
