It doesn’t seem 5 minutes since we said goodbye to the 2017 sailing season and here we are already gearing up to 2018. Many yachts are already booked from many bases so that means there are great deals to be had on yachts that need to get back to their home bases in time for their next charter. After 25 years in business we’ve sailed Greece with people from just about every State in the US, and none more so than California. Over the years we’ve welcomed 100’s from the Golden State so we’ve decided to say hi in person! We’ll be at the Pacific Sail and Power boat show from 19-22nd April 2018 and we’re really looking forward to chatting to sailors and non-sailors alike about Greece, Croatia and French Polynesia – our top sailing destinations. I’ts been a tough few months for the British Virgin Islands but we are pleased to report that marinas are once again taking shape and supermarkets are back to normal with fully stocked shelves for everything you need while in the islands. Charters are getting back to normal and our partners in BVI are once again back to work with cabin charters fully operational. We’ve got some great last minute discounts for boarding in February and March 2018 so if the recent freezing temperatures, ice and snow have got you down then perhaps it’s time to snap up one of these great deals.

Being a Canadian company we never miss our chance to meet fellow Canadians as well as our close neighbours from the United States. From 12th January, we’ll be at the Toronto Boat Show. The show runs from 2pm Friday 12th January to 6pm Sunday 22nd January.  We’d love you to stop by and say hi or stay a bit longer and find what our top sailing destinations have to offer.

As one season ends, another one begins! It’s only been a few weeks since we ended our tours in Greece, but we’re already excited about next year! September 2018 is already pretty much sold out for us next year, but June, one of the best months of the year to sail in Greece is still available. We’ll be at the Toronto Boat Show in January where you can meet us and watch our seminar on sailiing Greece and other fantastic destinations such as French Polynesia – our new hot spot! We can’t believe it, but the 2017 Greek sailing season and our flotilla tours of the Aegean sea are over. Capt Steven Parry took a well-earned rest from guiding the flotilla and for the first time in 25 years, he didn’t lead the flotilla in September. We would like to sincerley thank Capt. Akis Papasarandis for guiding the tours. Akis has been a Captain with Poseidon for 3 years now but this was his first month as flotilla leader and we couldn’t be more pleased. Those who have sailed with Akis will know all about his calm, capable demeanor, his kindness and with his wonderful sense of humour and he is a great addition to our Greek team.  Working with Akis this September as the crew/cook aboard Christianna has been Denise Roukas. We would also like to thank Denise who treated the cabin charter guests like they were being brought into her home. She welcomed everyone warmly and created excellent healthy Greek cuisine aboard along with iced cappuccinos as the month had spells of hot windless weather!

As the world has seen in recent days, the beautiful islands of the Caribbean have been ravaged by Hurricane Irma. Our thoughts go out to the people of these beautiful islands as they try to take their next steps in assessing the damage and rebuilding their homes and lives. The British Virgin Islands and St Martin have sustained extensive damage but we were very fortunate to not have any customers in these locations at the time of the hurricane. Cabin charters and yacht charters in BVI and St Martin are not available until further notice.
